3 years ago today I was at Alta Bates in a life transition to becoming a mother. It was a hard-fought battle that took years to take place.

Soreness is much better today (not worse, like I feared) but now I am fighting a cold on top of it all. Can't catch a break this season! :(

I am so sore! Went to bed at 8:30 'til 7. Every time I rolled over in my sleep = OUCH! My left ankle leaves me limping too but all worth it!

Official Oakland Running Festival time for my first half marathon = 3 hours, 20 min, 35 seconds. This is without running the last 3 weeks.

No Hazel puking during sleep. We both went to bed at 9. Woke up to no rain! Running at 9:15. Hoping for a dry run. Going to just do my best!

Uh oh, Hazel just puked all over me. She said she puked just like a cat. Zoomer pukes a lot :(

Hazel for the first time went potty in the night all by herself without calling us in to help her. She will be 3 a week from today. So proud

Had a fabulous lunch with my girl Sam. Needed that positive perspective. Thank you!

I will be SO relieved when Sunday is over. I am nowhere near where I wanted to be for my first half-marathon. I still have a cough even :(

It is seriously coming down! Glad I am inside, dry, and cozy with my family. :)

Got pretty good sleep & Hazel even slept in a bit but my lungs are killing me. Bad, bad asthma. Maybe the rain will help. If not, Nebulizer.

Oh no, I have a bit of a scratchy throat. Maybe it is allergies from being out in that nasty wind yesterday. I'll hope for that! :(

We are buying an annual pass & heading to the Oakland Zoo today! Hazel's first time & we can't remember how long it's been for either of us.
